RACE COURSE 
WE WILL BE USING THE SAME COURSE AS LAST
YEAR. COURSE IS READY FOR PRE-RIDING. THERE ARE A COUPLE
TREE DOWN THAT WILL BE REMOVED BEFORE RACE DAY AND SHOULDN'T PRESENT
A PROBLEM IN PRE-RIDING. |
During the race, the course is extremely well marked and the Roane County Fire and
Rescue Squad has personnel stationed at numerous points around the lake.
However,
it is your responsibility to know the race
course. We will not be closing off trails
at crucial intersections. It will be well marked but you
need to know which way to go! Also
note that the distances are a bit longer than 15K and 30K.
15K Race (1 Lap)
The race begins by the log cabin along the entrance road to the lake and make a short
steep climb into the parking lot. At the other end of the lot the course turns right up the
hill. No prologue this year - climb the Fireroad to Jungle Pass and go
from there.

30K Race (2 Laps)
This year the 2 laps will both utilize Lakeview Trail since the fireroad is
still wiped out by the ice storm. Lap 1 is the same fall all racer while lap 2
will climb up Charlie's at the back end of the lake and finish on Chadway Trail.
